Our Review of Regent Porto Montenegro

Meg from Team O recently had the opportunity to experience Regent Porto Montenegro firsthand and describes the experience as diving headfirst into luxury while being surrounded by the most breathtaking water views. This destination is perfect for visitors who want to be on the water in a new and different destination off the beaten path (for now). Imagine an abundance of pools to splash around in, a marina so massive it can host the grandest of yachts, and spacious rooms, perfect for families who want to stay together but still crave a bit of privacy.

And let’s talk about Porto Montenegro itself – it’s huge! You’ve got chic shopping avenues, beach bars that set the vibe just right, and a dining scene that’ll leave you spoiled for choice – it’s a whole world within itself. And Regent Porto Montenegro is at the center of all the action. The vision for Porto Montenegro’s expansion is ambitious, with plans to increase yacht slips from 150 to a staggering 800, capable of accommodating the largest yachts globally. Furthermore, over the next decade, there are plans to add more residences and retail units, which promises to elevate the entire community into a world-class destination.

Arrival Experience

Montenegro, in the southeastern region of Europe, neighbors the tourist hotspots of Croatia, Greece, and Italy, yet remains an undiscovered destination of untouched beauty and nature. Embracing a sense of escape and charm, Montenegro beckons all European visitors to include it in their itinerary.

The hotel is conveniently located near major airports, including Tivat Airport (2 miles/3.8 kilometers by car), Dubrovnik Airport (30 miles/47 kilometers by car), and Podgorica Airport (50 miles/80 kilometers by car). Meg personally flew into Dubrovnik airport via Vueling Airlines from Rome on a quick one-hour flight and upon arrival, was transported by a hotel chauffeur for the 45-minute transfer, which included a very quick ferry ride where she stayed in the parked car.

If traveling by yacht, you can easily cruise the waters of the central Mediterranean region. The marina is only a few nautical miles inland from the mouth of Boka Bay. The resort used to have a helipad, but it has since shut down due to the close proximity to the airport. Private jet transfers can also be arranged per your request. Contact our team for more information about pricing and availability.

Pro Tip: July and August mark the high season in Montenegro when the weather is at its warmest and the coastal towns and beach clubs come alive with vibrant energy. However, for travelers seeking a quieter experience, shoulder seasons offer a more relaxed atmosphere and lower prices while still providing pleasant weather.

Hotel Ambiance and Decoration

As previously mentioned, Regent Porto Montenegro is centrally located within the luxury complex of Porto Montenegro which includes lots of high-end shops, condominiums, restaurants, and yacht slips — designed and constructed as a comprehensive mixed-use community.

The hotel offers spectacular views of the port and yacht slips with perfectly placed sunsets and direct access to the mile-long promenade along the wharf.

The hotel consists of three large six-story buildings set side by side, right at the marina.

  • The main, original building, called the Venetian, is a golden colonial-style edifice with interiors done in a low-key classical Italian style and based on a nautical theme. The Venetian houses reception, the lobby, the five restaurants, the in-house bakery/cafe, two bars, the spa, a small gym, and half the guest rooms.
  • The two new adjacent buildings, called Bahia and Aqua, are both white and done in a more contemporary design and style. Aqua building is connected to the Venetian building by a short interior hallway, which design-wise, makes the transition between the two interior styles. Bahia and Aqua buildings flank either side of the hotel’s large outdoor, white-stone pool plaza, with infinity-style pools set on two levels, looking directly at the marina.

Spacious Accommodations

Regent Porto’s 130 accommodations come in five categories: Superior, Deluxe, Jr. Suites, 1-bedroom Suites, 2-bedroom Suites, a sole 2-bedroom Penthouse and one 3-bedroom Penthouse. All units have a balcony, though of varying sizes, depending on the room category.

The Standard Premium Rooms have views of the side of the building, face the grassland and mountain areas, and are located in the Venetian building.

Rooms in the original Venetian building are done with more classic Italian furnishings, while rooms in Aqua and Bahia have more contemporary furnishings. Guests who prefer to be closer to the pools may want to request a room at the Regent Pool Club Residences, Regent’s sister property. The room experience is the same, however, the Residences are a much closer distance to the main pool area.

The 1 and 2-bedroom Suites have a spacious, open-plan living room/dining room/fully equipped kitchen, large walk-in closets, and an extra half bath. Living rooms have a functioning fireplace for cold winter days.

The two Penthouses are set on the top floor. They are set side-by-side and have a private elevator that opens into a private lobby with the doors to each Penthouse accessed from there, thus setting them apart from the other hotel rooms. Penthouses are laid out like a house. The front door opens into a wide wood hallway with all the rooms set off the hall. Otherwise, they are basically larger versions of the 2-bedroom Suites. They also have massive wrap-around balconies with sitting areas, a large tiled whirlpool, and phenomenal views over the marina and Tivat Bay.

Amenities & Activities

Regent Porto Montenegro shares pool and spa amenities with its connecting sister property, the Regent Pool Club Residences, and the Porto Montenegro Yacht Club. With four pools —a feature pool, a lap pool, two children’s pools, and a laid-back atmosphere, the Pool Club is a family-friendly space for soaking up the sun. Go for a swim, relax in a sunbed, and enjoy fresh Mediterranean fare, poolside.

Hotel guests receive discounts at the Yacht Club and its famous, Instagram-worthy pool at Buddha Beach, discounted rates for yacht parking, and discounts at the onsite restaurants.

Within the hotel itself are three restaurants, a pool bar, and a library bar. The restaurants offer a variety of Mediterranean menus. Within walking distance along the promenade or the pedestrian streets, there are several other dining options to choose from.

The Regent Spa features a 20-meter indoor and outdoor infinity pool and offers guests an opportunity to experience a traditional Finnish sauna or hammam (Turkish bath) before treatments.

For gym junkies, there is a spacious indoor gym with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment. Personal trainers as well as group and individual yoga classes are available upon request.

Montenegro: A Hidden Gem

Meg describes Montenegro as a safe, undiscovered destination that should be part of any European circuit. Montenegro, known as the “black mountain” by locals, invites seasoned European travelers seeking an off-the-beaten-track adventure. With historical sites, stunning beaches, serene lakes, snow and water sports, and enchanting spas, it offers a unique blend of activities and attractions. The country is known for its friendly locals and its well-organized holiday resorts. Montenegro’s currency is the Euro, which is readily available and makes shopping and traveling within the country easy for visitors.

Since its independence, Montenegro has been developing its tourist industry rapidly and renovating its infrastructure, including roads, buildings, and public utilities. The country’s diverse landscape, consisting of mountains, gorges, and captivating coastal scenery, makes it a hotspot for outdoor enthusiasts. Despite being one of the world’s smallest countries, Montenegro boasts a rich cultural heritage with marvelous churches, monasteries, and folk arts. For those looking for a quieter yet vibrant escape, Montenegro’s tranquil charm might just be the perfect destination.

Discovering Amanzoe: A Hotel Spotlight

Nestled amid the sun-kissed Peloponnese peninsula, a stone’s throw away from the vibrant Porto Heli, lies a sanctuary that epitomizes luxury and tranquility. Amanzoe has recently become a favorite of many of our clients and it’s easy to understand why. Amanzoe is a modern-day Acropolis from which 360-degree views encompass olive groves and the Aegean Sea. Cabanas, Pavilions, and Villas all offer private pools with stunning views and fragrant gardens, whilst speedboats await at the beach to zip between nearby islands. The gods on Mount Olympus might well trade their celestial digs for a stay at Amanzoe. Since opening in 2012, it has set itself apart from other resorts in Greece by providing top-tier service and beautiful surroundings.

Arrival Experience

Amanzoe sits close to numerous historical sites and the happening island of Spetses. You can reach it with a 2.5-hour drive from Athens International Airport or hop on a quick 25-minute helicopter ride. This quick ride provides beautiful aerial views of Athens, including a close-up view of the Acropolis. Helicopter transfers cost around EUR 2,800 each way. Kindly note that as per Greek law regulations, helicopters are permitted to fly only from sunrise to sunset. Alternatively, it’s a 2.45-hour drive from Kalamanta International Airport.

The priciest, yet most unique option to get to Amanzoe from Athens is via a private yacht charter on Aquazoe. Holding up to 8 guests, this exclusive yacht departs Athens at 11 am and gives clients the opportunity to include lunch at Poros Island and a stop for swimming at Dokos Island. Kindly note that the boat must be moored to Porto Heli port before sunset time, as per Greek Law. Pricing starts at EUR 6,000 in total.

Our Hotel Plus team is happy to assist with arranging the best transportation option for you and your guests.

Ultra-Luxe Accommodations

Aman is known for its ultra-luxe spacious accommodations and Amanzoe is no exception. Each room comes with a large outdoor area complete with a plunge pool, and his & her bathrooms with large bathtubs and showers. The architecture is simple, drawing from ancient Greece’s use of columns to provide a classic authentic feel. The interplay of white and tan stones amid olive groves sets a breathtaking backdrop for the resort’s natural beauty.

There are only 38 suites and a few larger Aman villas on the property, which helps ensure that privacy and service are unwavering. The room layouts include freestanding pavilions on various levels to maximize privacy. Drawing on classic Greek architecture with strong lines and a pared-back aesthetic, the luxury Pavilions all open onto terraces with private plunge pools and views of the surrounding land and sea of the Peloponnese. Each Pavilion is accessed via a stone-walled courtyard, leading to a high-ceilinged living area and king-size bed positioned in a marble alcove, and are all just a short drive away from the beach.

Amanzoe’s luxury Villas are lofty spacious abodes –  Mediterranean homes surrounded by extensive gardens overlooking the Aegean Sea. Each of the one-to-nine-bedroom private Villas features a large private swimming pool, an open terrace, and outdoor space with sand-colored marble floors, traditional dry stone-clad walls, and elegant columns and cornices. All villas share a consistent aesthetic but have unique layouts. A discreet team of staff serves each property, alongside a dedicated private chef and Villa host.

For a more unique experience, we love the one-bedroom Cabanas at Amanzoe. Situated directly on the beach, the spacious air-conditioned  Beach Cabanas provide all the comforts of a pavilion, combined with an expansive terrace, swimming pool, and direct access to the sea just 30 meters away. Guests can enjoy a day on the beach, swimming in the sea, discovering bays by canoe, and sunbathing with the gentle ocean breeze. A stone-walled courtyard and garden provide privacy and shade, while inside, a king-sized bed and spacious bathroom form an intimate retreat.  This accommodation type is best for couples who love direct beach access.

Use our complimentary booking tool to book your stay or reach out to our small team of experts to assist you in finding the best accommodation type to suit your preferences, as well as the best available rate during your desired dates.

Activities

Guests can take advantage of the private beach club, the acclaimed Aman Spa, and a choice of restaurants; activities include sailing, waterskiing, mountain biking, and nature trekking.

The onsite restaurant is Nama, Aman’s signature Japanese restaurant worldwide. Nama is blessed with almost 360-degree views of the Aegean Sea from its hilltop setting. Open for dinner, with exceptional sushi and sashimi at the heart of its menu, Nama also offers a range of premium sake and Amanzoe’s extensive wine selection. We recommend securing a reservation as soon as possible. Restaurants are open to Aman guests and non-residents (subject to availability).

Amanzoe is home to the best spa in Greece. Its design is incredibly relaxing and perfect for luxuriating. It offers a variety of treatments with Watsu being one of their signatures. The spa also offers custom facials and an array of other signature Aman treatments.

Although the hotel does not offer immediate beach access, the Beach Club is only 10 minutes away by car and the resort provides complimentary transportation to and from. Plus, biking there is like something out of a travel magazine.

Our clients with younger kids love Amanzoe, with activities to suit all ages. Babysitters are available for younger children upon request, and a regular calendar of organized activities is offered for older children ranging from arts and crafts and storytelling to games, sports, and beekeeping. There is a beautiful kids-only pool tucked away from the main pool, which allows kids to play without interrupting other guests.

Like all Aman resorts, Amanzoe has a beautiful library open to all guests. Guests can take books as they please and read them in the comfort of their own room while lounging by the pool, or at the library, where tea and snacks are always available.

Book Now

The resort is truly elegant, down to the very last detail. Everything about it adds to the experience of vacationing in Greece and it strives to make its guests feel as if they are staying on Olympus. Zeus would certainly approve.

The best (and only) time to visit Amanzoe is between April and October. Amanzoe closes seasonally and will reopen on April 1, 2024, for the summer season.

As a preferred partner with Aman, book with Ourisman Travel and receive exclusive Virtuoso Amenities:

  • Upgrade on arrival, subject to availability
  • Daily breakfast for up to two guests per bedroom
  • $100 USD (per Pavilion & Beach Cabana) / $250 USD (per Villa) equivalent F&B credit to be utilized during stay

Our Retreat at COMO Parrot Cay in Turks & Caicos

Once a year, our closely-knit remote team of six eagerly anticipates our annual company retreat where we get to spend time together, relax, and of course, stay in a luxury resort that we get to tell you all about. This year, our Managing Director, Angela, announced to us that we would be going to COMO Parrot Cay in Turks & Caicos by delivering beautiful branded beach bags to our doorstep. We are so excited to share a detailed description of our stay here with you.

A Seamless Journey to Paradise

The journey there started at ATL airport. It was a pretty quick 2-hour, 11-minute Delta flight to Providenciales. We had VIP fast-track arrival, which meant being greeted by a SkyPass staff member who got us through customs quickly by skipping the line and escorting us to the COMO Parrot Cay check-in desk. COMO is the only resort with its own desk in the airport, so it was easy to find and after checking in, we were taken to two black SUVs that would drive us to a private lobby before getting on a boat to Parrot Cay. The lobby feels like a spa and is stocked with water, teas, champagne, and snacks that we took advantage of while waiting for our boat.

The resort is located on a private island and the only way to get there is via a 25-minute boat ride by a dedicated staff member. It’s worth noting that there are no helicopter landing pads on the island, so if you get seasick, although the waters are usually calm year-round, we recommend taking some medicine before you depart. After staring at the crystal clear waters on our ride to the resort, we were warmly greeted by a resort staff member who escorted us via a 10-minute golf cart ride to the front lobby. Parrot Cay is a private island and no one other than residents, resort guests, and staff are permitted here.

Personalized Butler Service and Private Villas Revealed

Angela intentionally kept our accommodations a secret so we were all very shocked to be greeted by our personal butlers, Mika and Yoga in the hotel lobby. We were welcomed with warm hand towels, followed by homemade banana bread, sourced straight from the island’s very own banana farm, and a cold ginger tea. After our delightful snacks, we hopped back into the golf cart with Yoga and Mika who took us to our private villas. Yes, that’s right! We were all very surprised to learn that we had a 3-bedroom villa, 2-bedroom villa, and oceanview suite all to ourselves, which comes with 24-hour butler service (one dedicated butler per villa). Above and beyond treatment began the second we walked in the door because Mika had prepared a feast of warm snacks for us, including sliders, french fries, spring rolls (including a gluten-free version for me), and filling salads.

Before arrival, we were asked to fill in a quick questionnaire about our favorite snack preferences, how we preferred our coffee or tea, any refreshments we’d like throughout the day, and anything else. This allows the staff to collect the requests from the main island and bring them to Parrot Cay before we even arrive. It’s imperative that you fill this out because once you’re there, there’s a longer turnaround time to get something because it has to be delivered by boat.

A Tasty End to Arrival Day

We spent the rest of the afternoon unpacking, drinking coffee, and getting ready for dinner at Lotus, located on the expansive deck overlooking the larger of the two infinity pools. Lotus offers contemporary Asian cuisine, with dumplings, bao, sushi, noodles and more. Since the resort is wellness-focused, there is a second menu option featuring gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options for those with allergies or dietary restrictions. Given that we are on a private island, it is extremely impressive to note how many fresh and delicious dishes they offer. Rather than new wait staff, Mika and Yoga were our waiters, another above and beyond touch so that they learn our preferences as time goes on. Before I knew it, I was being handed espresso martinis by the pool before I even had to ask.

Exploring the Accommodations

After we were full and happy from our breakfast buffet of tropical fruit, fresh juices, and eggs at the Terrace Restaurant, day two began with site inspections with Jelena, the Events and Groups Coordinator, who personally guided us and taught us about each accommodation type. There are 61 keys total, comprising 41 rooms and suites and 20 private villas and residences.

Ocean Room

We first toured an Ocean Room. There are 14 Ocean Facing Rooms and each room sleeps 2 adults and includes a spacious living room with direct balcony access with ocean views and a large bathroom. This room is steps away from the lobby and Terrace restaurant and allows for convenient access to the hotel’s main activities. The King bed can easily be swapped for two Twin beds and the separate banquette can be converted into an extra single bed. The other room type in this category is the Garden Room, which swaps the ocean view for lush garden views facing inward toward the lobby.

Beachfront Suite

This Suite is newly remodeled and is one of four COMO Suites, each with direct beach access. These suites feel like private villas, although they are semi-attached to one another. They all feature a large living room with a private dining area, a bedroom with an en suite bathroom, a separate guest bathroom, and a spacious deck with a heated pool. Other amenities include a fully equipped kitchenette, freestanding bathtub, and walk-in closet, and sleeps up to three adults. We recommend this room category for a couple traveling together or with a younger child.

Family Beach House

Next, we viewed a Family Beach House. These three villas are ideal for families (in case it wasn’t obvious from its name), offering privacy and direct access to a mile-long white sand beach, fringed by lush vegetation. A light-filled living area flows into the master bedroom, featuring a king bed and an en suite bathroom. On the other side, there is a smaller guest bedroom with two twin beds, which can be converted into one king (it has access to the second bathroom) to sleep either two adults and two kids or four adults. All rooms open to the private sundeck, where a heated infinity pool and an outdoor garden shower offer a variety of ways to relax. There is a fully equipped kitchenette, including a microwave and a small fridge.

These villas include personalized COMO butler service. Your villa’s private butler will assist you throughout your stay, help plan activities for you and your children, provide meals, and take you via a resort golf cart anywhere you need to go.

Beach House

On our ride to the Beach House, Jelena told us it was the perfect honeymoon accommodation and we couldn’t wait to see why. The Beach House is a studio-style house that offers ultimate privacy and sits on the beach with direct access to the Caribbean Sea. It is also the most recently renovated room type, so you can expect a brand-new ambiance throughout the home.

A sunken living room leads to a private sundeck where couples can lounge by the pool, dine al fresco, or access the beach directly. Perhaps what is most notable about this is that it features a beautifully spacious bathroom with a standalone tub, indoor and outdoor showers, and an outdoor jacuzzi surrounded by trees and a tall fence for ultimate privacy. This beach house also sits toward the end of the beach for more privacy and is by far the most romantic accommodation at the resort. There are six Beach Houses and this villa completely took our breath away. Jelena was spot on in labeling this one of the best honeymoon villas (arguably in the world). This villa includes a personalized butler dedicated to you throughout your stay.

Two Bedroom Beach House

There are five two-bedroom beach houses, and we were lucky enough to tour the newest one! These beach houses sit among the sand dunes with uninterrupted views of the sea. They have two en suite bedrooms, a spacious living and dining area, a large outdoor deck, and a very large heated infinity pool. The two-bedroom beach houses are best for two friends traveling together or two couples. The home comes with a fully equipped kitchenette, an outdoor garden shower, expansive indoor and outdoor dining areas, and of course, come with a dedicated butler at no extra cost. Every part of this home is designed to face the Sea. Meg and Allie from Team O stayed in one of the other two-bedroom villas and spent their mornings drinking coffee with views of the light-blue Caribbean Sea right from their own beds before their enthusiastic and captivating butler, Yoga, served them breakfast.

Three Bedroom Beach House

The three-bedroom beach house is a one-of-a-kind (literally, there’s only one!) private villa. This stunning home is where Angela, Courtney, and I stayed and one can only walk into this home with pure awe. This villa is ideal for larger families or groups of friends in pursuit of privacy. It has a large dining and lounge area, a private sundeck with a very large heated infinity pool, and an expansive living room. The two front bedrooms have floor-to-ceiling windows that look out onto the Caribbean Sea and the third bedroom is tucked away to the front left of the villa. My favorite part of the home was the outdoor gazebo, where I spent my mornings drinking coffee. The villa includes a large butler pantry and kitchenette, which was filled with our favorite treats upon arrival thanks to Mika, our wonderful butler who helped us throughout our stay. The home sleeps up to six adults and comes with two King beds and two twin beds or three King beds based on your guest’s needs.

Rocky Point Villa

Jelena saved the best for last because for the grand finale, as if we weren’t already wowed by the other room types, we toured the Rocky Point Villa, one of the private residences on the island. The residences are privately owned and therefore have their own taste in decoration, although the overall structure of the homes is comparable to the resort villas. This beyond-stunning home features three bedrooms with en suite and guest bathrooms, an expansive dining area, a private heated pool, an outdoor sundeck with loungers, garden showers, COMO Butler services, direct ocean access, and accommodates up to six adults. The master bedroom is tucked away to the left of the pool in a separate standalone villa for an added element of privacy.

We’ve included the floor plan to capture just how massive this property is. This is the perfect home for a multi-generational family reunion or couples retreat. It’s important to note that there is an option to include a two-bedroom cottage at the back with its own private deck and seating (additional charges apply). Contact our team to learn more.

Relaxation and Wellness at COMO Shambhala Spa

We spent the afternoon indulging in the famous COMO Shambhala spa. Even though it’s only a 10-minute walk from the front lobby, it feels like being transported into the middle of the lush jungle. The spa has a calming spirit, with treatment pavilions overlooking the North Caicos Channel. It is a sanctuary, on the opposite side of the island to villas and suites, with a light-drenched yoga pavilion, Pilates studio, and Jacuzzi garden. Numerous daily wellness activities and holistic wellness therapies are available.

We were all treated to a COMO Shambhala 75-minute massage, which started with a sea salt foot scrub. The treatment rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the channel and surrounded by tall trees and lush gardens. As if the massage wasn’t relaxing enough, me and Allie decided to sit in the communal jacuzzi located at the bottom of the building in the middle of the lush greenery surrounding us. I finished my spa day with 15 minutes in the steam room and made my way straight to the adults-only infinity pool for poolside lunch. Once again, we were greeted by Yoga and Mika who served us poolside drinks and dining. We ordered the margarita pizza, kale salad, fish tacos, and fresh guacamole.

Team Time and Leisure Activities

Personally, lounging by the pool with my team was my favorite part of the retreat. We got uninterrupted hours of catching up, laying in the sun, and maybe sipping on a margarita or two. The day ended with dinner at the Terrace restaurant, which transformed from a breakfast buffet by day to an Italian restaurant by night. The highlight of the meal was the chef making table-side Cacio e Pepe by hand spinning the noodles through a wheel of cheese.

The next day was filled with team meetings, team photos, capturing photos of the resort so that we could share them with you, and relaxing together by the pool. The Beach Club sits between the family pool and adults-only pool and offers plenty of lounge space and serves as a barrier between the family area and adults area.

The last dinner was a breathtaking setup by COMO Parrot Cay on the deck of our 3-bedroom villa. Fresh flowers decorated the table and we were given a fixed 5-course meal. It’s hard to decide what was best, but we were served fresh salads, a selection of meat and seafood, the best ceviche I’ve ever had, gluten-free and vegan banana bread, and possibly the best chocolate gelato we’ve ever had.

Other Notable Activities

COMO Parrot Cay is a great option for a family-friendly resort, however, there may be a lack of activities for tweens and teens. The Kids Club onsite is Play by COMO, which is open daily between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm. The kid’s pavilion caters to ages age 4-12 (2+ if accompanied by a parent or guardian) and activities vary weekly.

Other activities include a spacious fitness studio, plenty of non-motorized water activities to choose from, and complimentary bikes for all guests, which is one of the easiest ways to explore the island. We highly suggest kayaking in the mangroves, taking a sunset boat cruise, and a guided farm tour to learn how the island is entirely self-sufficient thanks to reverse osmosis and the use of three generators.

Pro Tip: In our opinion, the perfect length of stay here is 4-5 nights.

Unforgettable Service

What truly set COMO Parrot Cay apart was the impeccable service. Yoga and Mika, our dedicated butlers, epitomized excellence—attentive yet discreet, going above and beyond to make our stay extraordinary. Mika was even the wonderful photographer of our new team photo.

Saying Goodbye to Paradise

Leaving COMO Parrot Cay was a poignant moment. As we bid farewell to Yoga and Mika, who escorted us to our boat, their warm waves lingered in our memories. The return journey was as seamless as our arrival, marked by a VIP Fast Track host and a final visit to the VIP lounge before boarding our flight back to Atlanta.

Turks & Caicos

Beyond being known for its exclusive collection of five-star resorts, Turks & Caicos serves as a hub for underwater adventures. For diving enthusiasts, Turks & Caicos presents a unique opportunity to explore over 1,000 shipwrecks. Adventurers can also go whale watching, snorkeling, and fishing to get a closer look at the abundance of wildlife in this small slice of the Caribbean.

The island’s unique weather patterns contribute to its allure, with an average of only 43 days of rain per year, compared to the Caribbean average of 149 days. Turks & Caicos is beautiful year-round, with consistently warm weather hovering around 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The risk of hurricane activity is highest between June and November, however, it is typically safe to travel year-round. Conveniently accessible with nonstop flights from Miami and Atlanta, Turks & Caicos is a quick escape from the States.

COMO Parrot Cay is closed annually for September, allowing the staff a well-deserved break and the resort the opportunity for renovations without disrupting the guest experience.

We Loved it, Now it’s Your Turn!

We have personally visited and vetted our top 3 accommodation recommendations in Turks & Caicos. These include Amanyara, Wymara Resort & Villas, and of course, COMO Parrot Cay. We previously wrote about COMO Parrot Cay before this visit which you can read here.

We have outlined ten of our top amenity programs and what you will receive as a client of Ourisman Travel booking their properties!

Belmond Bellini Club:

Membership to the Bellini Club gives Brownell access to generous benefits that we can pass on to our clients to make their travel experiences unique. We receive advance notice of private sales, promotions, and offers before they are published (and potentially sold out).

The invitation-only Bellini Club includes less than 100 agencies worldwide. The exact benefits vary slightly depending on the property but generally, Bellini Club will trump the offerings of Virtuoso. The biggest benefit of booking with a Bellini Club advisor, in our opinion, is a $200 hotel credit when you book a suite!

  • A-la-carte breakfast for 2 daily
  • VIP welcome treats with a local taste
  • Complimentary upgrade based on availability at the time of check-in
  • Hotel or resort credit:

Just a handful of travel agencies worldwide are members of the Four Seasons Preferred Partner Agency program. We are proud to be one of the elite few and in addition, have a seat on the Four Seasons Advisor Council. When you book a Four Seasons resort or hotel with Ourisman Travel, you become a very special guest indeed.

Luxury and Serenity Meet at Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto

Japan’s unique blend of tradition and modernity attracts travelers from all corners of the globe, offering a journey through time and culture. Meg from Team O recently had the privilege of visiting Tokyo and Kyoto to stay in some of the top-selling luxury hotels. Her stay at Four Seasons Kyoto encapsulated the essence of luxury, serenity, and Japanese hospitality.

Four Seasons Kyoto is strategically located at the foot of the Higashiyama temple district, just a 10-minute drive from downtown Kyoto. The hotel’s proximity to historic landmarks, palaces, gardens, Buddhist temples, and Shinto shrines makes it an ideal base for exploring Kyoto’s rich history and culture.

Arrival Process: Seamless and Stress-Free

Meg’s journey began with a 1 hour and 45-minute ride on the iconic bullet train from Tokyo to Kyoto Station, the biggest train hub in the city. To ensure a seamless arrival, she made use of the Four Seasons chat app, messaging their team her train car and seat number. The result was a stress-free transition, as the hotel’s driver awaited her right outside the train platform’s doors. This level of service is especially valuable for those navigating the complex Tokyo transportation system.

Check-In and Amenities: A Warm Welcome

Upon arrival at the hotel, she checked in at the front desk in the lobby and received a delightful edible zen garden welcome amenity. This small yet thoughtful gesture set the tone for a warm and hospitable stay.

A Perfect Blend of Modern and Traditional

The hotel’s design is a fusion of modern luxury and traditional Japanese aesthetics. With a spread-out layout that adheres to Kyoto’s regulations, which restrict buildings to no more than 4 or 5 floors, the hotel maintains the city’s skyline and ensures a peaceful ambiance. There are walking paths throughout and around the hotel grounds, alongside a spacious outdoor seating area where guests can soak in the beauty of the garden and pond at their leisure.

The 125 rooms, including 10 one-bedroom residential suites with tatami dining seating, offer a variety of accommodation options. The rooms beautifully integrate modern amenities with traditional Japanese design elements, creating a harmonious and visually pleasing environment.

Premier Room with Garden View: A Peaceful Retreat

Meg was fortunate to stay in a Premier Room, offering a beautiful Garden View. The room came with a balcony adorned with lounge chairs, a perfect spot to sip your morning coffee while overlooking the 800-year-old large pond teeming with koi and other fish. The full bathroom was equipped with a rain shower and a generously sized bathtub, adding a touch of luxury and spaciousness to her stay.

The Ultimate Suite Experience

For a truly exceptional accommodation experience, booking a suite with a view of Myoho-in Temple is highly recommended. The sight of this historic temple is a true testament to the hotel’s commitment to offering its guests a glimpse into the rich heritage of Kyoto.

Pro Tip: The Presidential Suite can be made into a 3-bedroom suite upon request.

Exploring the Surroundings

Kyoto is one of Japan’s best-preserved historic cities complete with palaces, gardens, and many Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines from Imperial Japan’s golden age. The hotel is nestled beside a 1,500-year-old temple, once owned by a wealthy samurai family. Several temples are within a stone’s throw, including the awe-inspiring Sanjusangendo, which houses a collection of 1001 carved wood Buddhist deities, and Yogen-in, known for its ceiling smeared with the bloody palm prints of warriors slain 400 years ago. To explore at your own leisure, guests can borrow bicycles from the front desk and explore Kyoto on two wheels like the locals.

Culinary Excellence: From Sushi to Fusion

Pro Tip: Call in advance and book one of the 10 available reservations at Sushi Wakon located on the hotel property and it will likely prove to be one of your most memorable experiences in Kyoto. Managed by renowned sushi chef Rai Masuda, rounds of delectable, ultra-fresh seafood including Hokkaido scallops, red clams, and golden snapper are carefully prepared and presented.

The hotel’s restaurant, The Brasserie overlooks the pond garden and serves Asian-European fusion food throughout the entire day, offering guests a diverse and flavorful dining experience.

Relaxation and Wellness

For those seeking relaxation, the hotel’s pool, spa, and gym are conveniently located underground. Nature plays a central role in the design and ambiance, with local flower arrangements visible at every turn, and much of the design elements and fabrics sourced from local vendors. The hotel also has a beautiful Japanese onsen, and the spa offers unique treatments such as gold leaf facials, undoubtedly leaving you feeling refreshed and pampered.

Conclusion: A Tranquil Haven in the Heart of Kyoto

Meg’s experience at Four Seasons Kyoto was nothing short of exceptional, which is to be expected at any Four Seasons Hotel. From the seamless arrival process to the well-appointed accommodations, delicious dining options, and serene surroundings, the hotel exceeded expectations. If you’re planning a visit to Kyoto and seek a peaceful retreat that seamlessly blends modern luxury with traditional Japanese charm, Four Seasons Kyoto should be at the top of your list. It’s a haven where nature and tranquility take center stage, making it a perfect choice for travelers looking to experience the essence of Kyoto’s rich history and culture.

As a Preferred Partner at Four Seasons, we are able to offer our clients exclusive benefits when they book their stay directly through a team member:

    • Suites and Specialty Suites: USD 200 credit per stay
    • Private Retreats: USD 200 credit per bedroom per stay
  • Early Check-In / Late Check-Out (STA)
  • Welcome note at check-in

Four Seasons Preferred Partner can generally be combined with any rates you’ll find directly with Four Seasons. As a Preferred Partner agency, we can make Preferred Partner bookings on your behalf. We also carry a TOP 30 advisory status for every Four Seasons hotel so we know that our clients are in the best hands wherever they stay.

For a more personalized touch on your upcoming stay, you can work with our Hotel Plus team to assist with any reservations, activity scheduling, concierge assistance, and more.

If your travel dates are flexible, we recommend visiting Kyoto in May to see the Imperial Gardens at a beautiful time of the year with fewer crowds.

If you’re planning a multi-route trip or want to compare other luxury hotels in the area, Meg also had the opportunity to stay at HOTEL THE MITSUI KYOTO, Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo At Marunouchi, and Aman Tokyo. After watching Apple TV’s hit show “The Reluctant Traveler”, we reviewed each hotel host Eugene Levy stayed at. One of his trips included a stay at Hoshinoya Tokyo, another high-tech, luxury hotel in the heart of Tokyo’s city center.

If you’re pairing your stay with a trip to Tokyo, you can refer to our Preferred Hotels Map for a peek at the rest of our top hotel recommendations and amenities. If you have any questions about how to become a client or book your stay with us for those added perks, email us at [email protected] or submit a Travel Request Form. We look forward to helping you plan your stay!

Why We Love Four Seasons Maui at Wailea in Hawaii

Often our highest-selling hotel in the world, Four Seasons Maui at Wailea has a strong following of loyal fans, and our clients often return year after year. But, we’ve learned that it’s not for everyone. While most people are hard-pressed to find a complaint about the hotel’s staff and high level of service, some people don’t like the resort layout or “see and be seen” ambiance. Given its existing popularity, it makes sense that the hotel was chosen as the setting for Season 1 of HBO’s White Lotus.

Four Seasons Maui is our most popular destination for couples, especially honeymooners. Guests celebrating a special occasion should indulge in everything the property has to offer especially the adults-only sanctuary pool and the spa. And, for a little adventure, be sure to give the outrigger canoeing a whirl! We’re happy to provide a full review of our stay here.

Top-Notch Accommodations

The resort is centered around a U-shape building and your room selection is important here. The entry-level rooms, called Mountainside, do come with a lower rate, but you get what you pay for with the view. Chances are likely that you could spend your trip looking at a tennis court or the top of a parking garage. Definitely book the Garden rooms or higher. For a real wow factor, the Ocean-View Prime One-Bedroom Suites are the place to be! Preferred Partner guests will receive a room upgrade whenever possible, but this is a popular resort and upgrades are frequently unavailable. Book the room that you want; don’t count on that upgrade!

The rooms are both spacious and contemporary, adorned with Hawaiian artwork and captivating textures and patterns. Twice-daily housekeeping with evening turndown service and a welcome amenity are included. Each room comes with a spacious private lanai furnished with outdoor lounge furniture, which is the perfect spot to enjoy your morning tea or coffee.

Pro tip: We recommend the Deluxe Ocean-View rooms for the most desirable views of the Pacific Ocean.

5-Star Service

Top-notch luxury service is the real highlight here. The Four Seasons Maui does not charge a resort fee and you will never feel “nickel and dimed.” Despite the lack of a resort fee, the hotel offers everything you would expect and more! There are three pools here. If you’re traveling with kids, the Waterfall Pool has a small waterslide and section for toddlers and the Fountain Pool is closest to the beach for convenience. Beach and pool service (water, sunscreen, towels, etc) is complimentary and the attendants walk around regularly handing out small treats and refreshments. For a more exclusive pool experience, check out the adults-only Serenity pool, but book a cabana in advance; This area fills up fast! If you are traveling with kids you will want to take advantage of the Kids For All Seasons program (also complimentary) or Camp Manitou, a day camp for tweens and teens ages 9-17. You will definitely feel pampered throughout your stay here!

Hotel Amenities

Four Seasons Maui is situated on a beautiful beach. Mornings at Wailea Beach start out calm, which is perfect for snorkeling (we were lucky enough to see a sea turtle), swimming, and paddleboarding. The afternoons bring tradewind-driven waves, great for surfing, and boogie boarding.

At the resort, you’ll find three outstanding restaurants – Spago, Duo, and Ferraro’s. Spago serves Hawaiian and Californian cuisine and is overseen by Master Chef Wolfgang Puck. It is also a Forbes Four Star and AAA Four Diamond restaurant. Duo is the spot for fresh steak and seafood and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and if you’re craving Italian, we highly recommend Ferraro’s. You can also enjoy poolside dining, room service, and Beach Walk Cafe for convenient meals and drinks throughout your stay.

For golf enthusiasts, there are three 18-hole championship courses to choose from (yes, three!). They all offer stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and are suitable for all playing levels. Golf clubs are available for rent and you can also sign up for private lessons and be trained by an expert.

Maui is a Hotspot for Activities

One of our favorite off-property activities is Maui Brewing Company. Maui Brewing Company is located just 10-15 minutes from the Wailea area resorts. It offers a brewery tour, tasting flights, a restaurant with a fun Hawaiian pub-style menu, and live music. They also have a brewpub in Lahaina.

Watching the sunrise at Haleakala should definitely be added to your bucket list. You can do this on your own with a rental car or join a tour. We recommend the downhill bike tours – they bus you up to the peak for sunrise viewing and then you bike your way down with a stop for a breakfast picnic along the way. Pre-booking is now required by the National Park Service so plan ahead for this one! Our Hotel Plus team is happy to assist with any booking arrangements for your trip.

Pro tip: If your trip only allows for time on one island, Maui is a great choice because it offers a little bit of everything. The activity selection is broad, and visitors can enjoy beautiful beaches, quality snorkeling, great hikes and drives, good shopping, and excellent dining!

Read our activity spotlight for a full list of our favorite things to do in Maui.

The Best Tropical Honeymoon Destinations

We understand that your honeymoon is not just a vacation; it represents the start of the next chapter in your love story, and we’re here to help make it absolutely unforgettable. With over 17 years of experience in crafting dream getaways, we’ve gathered a list of the crème de la crème destinations and luxury hotels for couples seeking the ultimate tropical paradise. Whether you’re yearning for the vibrant beaches of Mexico, Hawaii, Fiji, Bora Bora, or the Seychelles, we’ve got you covered with a blend of popular honeymoon hotspots and off-the-beaten-path hidden gems.

Our blog is your passport to a world where lounging by crystal-clear waters, drinking poolside tropical cocktails, and scheduling rejuvenating spa treatments are all you have to worry about. Plus, when you choose to book through us, you’re not just booking a hotel; you’re gaining access to our decades-long partnerships with these 5-star hotels, ensuring that your honeymoon will be in the most capable and caring hands possible.

Hawaii

Hawaii reigns as a premier honeymoon destination for our clients, and it’s not hard to see why. With its lush landscapes, beautiful beaches, and a vibrant culture that exudes warmth and hospitality, Hawaii offers couples a perfect blend of romance and adventure. From the stunning sunsets over the Pacific to the awe-inspiring volcanic landscapes, there’s a wealth of natural beauty to explore. Whether you’re savoring a traditional luau, staying active on a scenic hike, or simply lazing on the beach, Hawaii’s charm and diversity create an idyllic backdrop for honeymoon memories that will last a lifetime.

Four Seasons Resort Hualalai

Our clients who love the Four Seasons Hualalai, LOVE it in a big way! Along with its sister property on Maui, Four Seasons Hualalai is one of our top-selling hotels in the world. This is a spacious resort whose guest rooms and suites are arranged in four oceanside crescents and a fifth group of rooms alongside the 18th green of the resort’s golf course… five resorts within the resort.

The rooms are spread out in low-lying crescent-shaped buildings, which gives the feeling that you are staying in one of four boutique hotels rather than one large resort. Each crescent has its own personality that will appeal to different types of travelers. We recommend the Palm Grove Crescent for honeymooners because it is more secluded with its own adults-only Tranquility Pool. Angela loved her room on the second floor overlooking Palm Grove. Ground floors feature outdoor showers, however, the second floor has more serene views and an additional level of privacy.

Our top recommended activities for honeymooners include a private dinner on the beach with a custom menu, an outrigger canoe excursion, night snorkeling with Manta Rays, a helicopter tour of a live volcano, and of course, a Lomi Lomi (a traditional Hawaiian massage). This is just the tip of the iceberg for things to do at Four Seasons Hualalai and on the Big Island, and our team is experts at creating a custom itinerary best suited to your interests.

Four Seasons Resort Lanai

Four Seasons Lanai is more than just a hotel; it’s a game-changer in the world of luxury travel. It’s hard to pinpoint one thing that makes this resort special because it’s the complete package. The resort is nestled on an island with just 3,100 residents and 88,000 acres of untouched beauty, making it one of our favorite tropical honeymoon destinations. And a fun fact, Angela from Team O spent part of her honeymoon here so she can personally vouch for this romantic paradise.

What sets Four Seasons Lanai apart is its direct ownership and operation of every activity, ensuring a consistently exceptional five-star experience. Whether it’s snorkeling, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, or enchanting sunset sails, their fleet of boats is ready to take you on aquatic adventures. On land, enjoy horseback riding, UTV tours, archery, shooting range, tennis, and access to a comprehensive spa. The accommodations, from the spacious, comfortable rooms to the meticulously designed bathrooms, provide a perfect sanctuary for you and your partner.

If time allows for it, we suggest pairing your stay with Sensei, a Four Seasons Resort. Of the two resorts in Lanai, Sensei is adults-only, much quieter, and more centered around promoting health and well-being. You can read our blog for a longer list of activities in Lanai, but we highly recommend contacting our team of experts for guidance on crafting the perfect itinerary.

Kona Village, a Rosewood Resort

With its exquisite accommodations, from beachfront bungalows to spacious villas, Kona Village has recently opened its doors and provides an intimate setting for couples seeking the perfect honeymoon escape. The resort’s commitment to sustainability and authentic Hawaiian experiences ensures that you’ll not only be indulging in luxury but also connecting with the local culture and natural surroundings.

Each hale is a standalone bungalow with palm-thatched roofs, paying homage to the original structures of Kona Village. Choose from a mountain, garden, lagoon, ocean, oceanfront, or beachfront view for these rooms. In our opinion, the most unique room choices in this category are the Ocean Front Legacy Hale or the Tree Top King Hale.

Guests can relax in the warm Hawaiian sun and rejuvenate with refreshing swims in any of the four outdoor pools, each providing poolside service and breathtaking views of the natural surroundings. For couples seeking active leisure, Kona Village provides fully equipped pickleball and tennis courts, perfect for engaging and enjoying quality time together. Explore a fusion of ultra-luxury and traditional wellness practices at Asaya Spa through guided wellness programs, healing body modalities, and relaxing spa treatments. Contact our team for more information on Kona Village.

Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea

The Four Seasons Maui at Wailea is our most popular destination in Hawaii for couples, especially honeymooners. This resort definitely has a romantic flair; it is also the “see and be seen” hotspot. Guests celebrating a special occasion should kick off the trip on the right foot with a private airport transfer in the sleek and sexy Tesla. Then, after arriving at the resort, indulge in everything the property has to offer especially the adults-only sanctuary pool and the spa. And, for a little adventure, be sure to give the outrigger canoeing a whirl!

The resort is centered around a U-shape building and your room selection is important here. The entry-level rooms, called Mountainside, do come with a lower rate, but you get what you pay for with the view. For a real wow factor, the Ocean-View Prime One-Bedroom Suites are our favorite accommodation option at Four Seasons Maui.

For a full list of things to do in Maui, check out our blog or schedule a complimentary Discover call with our Tailored Luxury team to get started on crafting your dream itinerary.

Mexico

Mexico stands out as a top honeymoon destination for a myriad of reasons. Its rich tapestry of culture, from the historic charm of colonial cities to the lively spirit of coastal towns, provides an enchanting backdrop for newlyweds. The country’s year-round warm climate, choice of 5-star luxury resorts, and world-class spas make it a perfect choice for honeymooners seeking the ultimate tropical getaway.

One&Only Mandarina

Nestled amidst Mexico’s captivating coastal rainforest, One&Only Mandarina is a sanctuary of unspoiled nature and cultural heritage, allowing couples to connect with each other and the natural world from their private villa overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

For honeymooners, the resort offers a mirage of romantic activities, including natural wine tasting, horseback rides on the beach, spa services, and many more. You can also choose to follow their curated romantic 3-day itinerary if you just want to sit back, relax, and enjoy uninterrupted quality time with your partner.

For accommodations, choose between the well-loved Cliff Villas or Treehouses, although our top recommendation is the Ocean Treehouse. Perched within the trees, the adults-only villa starts at 854 square feet and includes one King bed and one day bed with floor-to-ceiling windows. Grab a coffee and enjoy the view in your private plunge pool on your spacious 301-square-foot patio with panoramic ocean views. Kick things off by filling out our contact form or scheduling a complimentary discovery call.

Naviva, a Four Seasons Resort

Four Seasons Naviva Resort in Punta Mita, Mexico is an exquisite blend of nature and luxury. The resort’s design honors Mexican heritage and perfectly complements its natural exterior elements. It is a truly remarkable escape for honeymooners who desire innovative privacy, serene views of the Pacific Ocean, and extraordinary adults-only, all-inclusive amenities. Just 15 luxury tents spread across the 48-acre property ensure exclusivity in a calm, meditative hideaway in the Mexican jungle. It is the first Four Seasons all-inclusive tented camp in the Americas and only the second in the world, promising a rare and timeless experience.

We highly recommend staying in a Grand Tent (there are only 5 on the property). The Grand Tents are 1,700 sqft and have a two-tier deck, which offers captivating 360-degree views of the jungle and Pacific Ocean. Each tent is exclusively designed to serve as a “refuge” for its guests. With an outdoor shower, private pool, sun deck, multiple lounging areas, for some a fire pit, and an indoor free-standing tub with an ocean view, it is a truly over-the-top “refuge” — one that feels both wild and comforting.

Since it’s an all-inclusive resort, we recommend taking advantage of the nature-inspired activities offered, including extensive guided hikes, meditation and sound healing, House of Heat, and of course, spa treatments. Our team will be able to assist in securing reservations for you so that all you have to do is get from one relaxing activity to the next.

Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve

Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, presents a luxury haven for honeymooners traveling to Mexico. The resort offers a remote escape with proximity to the vibrant cities of San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. Your Zadún journey commences with a warm welcome, complete with a refreshing drink and a cold towel. Your dedicated Tosoani, or private butler, becomes your personal concierge, ensuring that your every wish and need is catered to during your stay so you can live likely royalty (as you deserve)!

The accommodations, ranging from rooms to villas and suites, beautifully blend indoor and outdoor living, with Ocean View King Rooms starting at an impressive 750 square feet. Each space has a perfect fusion of modern elements, Mexican artistry, and nature, and comes with a private plunge pool and complimentary beach accessories.

The resort’s unwavering commitment to wellness is evident in the Alkemia Spa, offering rejuvenating treatments and a unique Savasana Sound Room for post-treatment relaxation. With three pools, including an infinity pool and an adult-only pool, alongside private pools in every accommodation, you’ll have no trouble finding the perfect spot to unwind. The exemplary service and extraordinary room design ensure complete privacy, making Zadún a perfect destination for honeymooners seeking privacy and a tropical escape on one of Cabo’s stunning beaches. Schedule a discovery call with our Tailored Luxury team to learn about the abundance of activities Cabo offers to honeymooners and couples alike.

Seychelles

In recent years, the Seychelles has been put on the map as a popular honeymoon destination. Often paired with an African safari, the Seychelles gives guests an opportunity to pair a once-in-a-lifetime animal-observing adventure with one of the most beautiful and relaxing tropical locations in the world.

Four Seasons Resort Seychelles

Four Seasons Seychelles is our top accommodation recommendation for honeymooners, offering an exceptional blend of natural beauty, wellness, and adventure. Nestled on the uppermost point of the resort and blessed with Mahé’s most breathtaking views, Le Syel Spa is a sanctuary that transforms your perspective on wellbeing. From stand-up paddle boarding along the tranquil shores of Desroches Island to sunset yoga sessions overlooking Petite Anse Bay, couples can embrace a profound connection with nature and deepen their bond with the world around them. The resort’s extensive selection of unique activities, from marine education to beachfront yoga, opens up a world of experiences both on land and at sea, keeping you busy if you choose to pack your days with activities for two.

The accommodations are straight out of a movie, complete with sunken bathtubs and private pools, are tucked into the lush tropical hillside, providing the perfect balance of privacy and breathtaking views. Situated in the sunset-facing bay on the southwest coast of the main island of Mahé, the Four Seasons Seychelles ensures convenient air access for international travelers, making it easy to get to from South Africa or other international airports. Our team can assist with everything, from airport transfers to spa appointments to a custom itinerary based on your honeymoon bucket list.

Raffles Seychelles

Nestled on the lush green hillsides just a short drive from Vallée de Mai, a primeval palm forest, Raffles Seychelles is a romantic resort that feels like a utopia. The 86 contemporary and uncluttered villas come complete with private plunge pools, outdoor pavilions, and attentive butler service, making them an ideal setting for a romantic escape. The resort’s dedication to well-being is evident in the Raffles Spa, which offers yoga, meditation, and natural treatments, allowing couples to unwind after a long year of wedding planning and celebrations.

Located on Praslin, a launch point for myriad activities and home to natural wonders like the UNESCO World Heritage Site Vallée de Mai and Anse Lazio, rated as one of the world’s best beaches, Raffles Seychelles gives guests access to some of the world’s most beautiful natural scenery. With its warm tropical climate year-round and convenient access from Mahé via a scenic 15-minute plane ride or a leisurely catamaran ferry, Raffles Seychelles is the ultimate destination for couples seeking a one-of-a-kind experience that they will never forget.

Bora Bora

Bora Bora will always stand out as a bucket list destination for anyone, but especially honeymooners. Who wouldn’t want to spend a week in an overwater bungalow in one of the most beautiful locations in the world?

Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora

Four Seasons Bora Bora is a picture-perfect honeymoon destination, captivating travelers (and us) with its stunning location and top-of-the-line amenities. Situated in front of the majestic Mount Otemanu, the resort offers 360-degree views, creating a mesmerizing backdrop for your romantic getaway.

The resort is a year-round paradise, although January and February see occasional rain showers. The overwater bungalows at the resort are suite-style, offering separate bedrooms and living rooms. These exquisite accommodations feature open walls leading to a private terrace with lagoon access, chaise lounges, and an outdoor shower. The king bedrooms redefine luxury, offering comfort and serenity, enveloped in a spa-like atmosphere with natural wood accents and exquisite lighting.

The resort has every amenity for a perfect beach vacation in Bora Bora, even offering a boat shuttle to town. One of the most remarkable aspects of this property is its stunning lagoons with small beaches nestled on white sands. On-site marine biologists are available for snorkeling excursions to explore coral, tropical fish, and rays while explaining the resort’s coral grafting initiatives. Guests can also enjoy complimentary access to kayaks, paddle boards, and snorkel gear. For those seeking more adventure, activities offered range from circling the island on a Waverunner to scuba diving, tennis, and ping pong. We highly recommend a shark/ray Lagoon cruise with a motu lunch. Our team can assist you with booking the best activities catered to your preferences.

Fiji

The warm hospitality, adventurous activities, and private island resorts create an ideal setting for couples to celebrate their love, while romantic sunsets and diverse cultural experiences add to the allure of this tropical paradise. Easy accessibility from international airports makes Fiji a convenient and enchanting choice for honeymooners.

Six Senses Fiji

Six Senses Fiji is our top recommendation for honeymooners wishing to travel to Fiji. The resort’s design, inspired by a Fijian village, encompasses 24 pool villas that seamlessly blend tradition with a contemporary touch, providing an idyllic escape for couples to savor their own private paradise.

At the heart of Six Senses Fiji lies the Wellness Village, enveloped by a lush tropical jungle, and home to Six Senses Spa Fiji. Here, honeymooners can disconnect from the stresses of wedding planning and embrace tranquility. Wellness activities range from blending your own body scrub at the Alchemy Bar to aerial yoga, guided meditation, and yoga sessions in a treetop pavilion that provides gorgeous ocean views. Located along a protected bay, Six Senses Fiji sits on a pristine white sandy beach and a turquoise lagoon, offering several aquatic activities, including snorkeling, kayaking, and diving.

Sustainability is deeply ingrained in the resort’s ethos, as it is 100 percent solar-powered with the largest microgrid in Fiji, using Tesla batteries. Easily accessible from Nadi International Airport, the resort provides 24-hour speedboat transfers or a quick 10-minute helicopter ride, allowing holiday mode to turn on from the moment you land in paradise.

How Can We Help?

While we always offer our Hotel Only service complimentary to our clients, knowing how special this trip is for newlyweds, we always encourage our honeymooners to offload the stress of planning their honeymoon and allow us to take on the planning process. Hotel Plus is for those trips in need of some additional support from our team, including, but not limited to dining reservations and airport transfers, while Tailored Luxury is an itinerary design process designed to be specifically tailored to your honeymoon goals.

With our Tailored Luxury service, your itinerary can be as detailed or as flexible as you want it to be. We can manage as little or as much of your trip as you like and will advise you when it makes more sense to book independent elements vs. one packaged option. This service always kicks things off with a phone call to get a sense of both the individual personalities and the couple’s personality. We’ll help you with:

  • Lodging – we’ll help you pick the best hotels for your tastes… or maybe a residential apartment, private yacht, or tented camp is more up your alley?
  • Planes, trains, and automobiles – we’ll help you get there and get around.
  • Activities and tours – we’ll match your interests with your destination, cooking, painting, shopping, hiking, dancing, you name it and we’ll find the best experience for you.
  • The final touches – we’ll help with everything from packing advice to shipping that bag so it is waiting for you on arrival!

From touchdown to takeoff we ensure a seamless experience for our honeymooners knowing that after the whirlwind of wedding planning, it is a relief to have everything set up for you. With more couples leaning away from vacations built around sitting on a beach for a week and focusing on more unique, personalized trips using a travel advisor has never been more crucial for couples planning their honeymoons. Travel advisors facilitate both sides of the honeymoon planning process; getting to know the couple and personalizing an itinerary to their personalities and working to make sure everything runs smoothly once the honeymoon finally happens. From narrowing down dream destinations, navigating budgets, and finding experiences personal to both the bride and groom, a travel advisor is your best resource for planning the honeymoon of your dreams.

As our client, we can always offer exclusive, complimentary benefits to your stay:

  • Complimentary breakfast daily for two
  • Complimentary room upgrade (STA)
  • 100 USD resort credit
  • Early check-in / late check-out (STA)

We recommend planning your honeymoon 8-12 months in advance for access to the best rates and availability at your desired destinations. To get started, email us at [email protected] or submit a Travel Request Form on our website.

AI and the Future of the Travel Industry

In the era of artificial intelligence (AI) and rapid technological advancements, the travel industry finds itself at the crossroads of innovation and tradition. With its data-driven recommendations and predictive algorithms, AI has undoubtedly made planning and booking trips more convenient. Still, amidst the digital transformation, one irreplaceable aspect of travel remains: the indispensable role of travel advisors and the profound human connections they forge.

AI in the Travel Industry: A Revolution with Limits

AI has become a game-changer for many industries, including travel. It pulls data from the vast expanse of the internet, offering generic recommendations and trends that anyone can access. It’s excellent for creating lists of top destinations or hotels, but it lacks the depth of personalization that human travel advisors provide.

Consider this: Although AI can suggest popular tourist attractions, it is unable to offer the inside scoop that a travel advisor can. It can’t tell you to try the delectable banana waffles at that charming café tucked away in a quiet alley. It is unable to reveal the hidden gems known only to locals. AI is, at its core, an information aggregator, unable to replicate the personal touches that travel advisors bring to the table.

The Value of Human Connection

Travel is, and always will be, about human connection. We have spent the last 17 years building lasting relationships with both our partners and clients. We know your travel history, your preferences, and the intricacies of your family’s needs. We’re often there for you during life’s big milestones, celebrating alongside you, and ensuring your travel experiences align with your unique requirements.

With personal visits to most client destinations under our belt, we offer an insider’s perspective that surpasses what AI or internet searches can provide. We meticulously vet properties to ensure they meet the highest standards and align with our client’s preferences. However, what truly sets us apart is our extensive network of on-the-ground partners, many of whom are locals. These partners grant us access to insider knowledge and off-the-beaten-path destinations that often remain hidden from the average traveler.

Surviving and Thriving Amidst Technological Shifts

Throughout history, the travel industry has weathered various technological storms. As the internet boomed, many modern travelers turned away from brick-and-mortar travel agencies in favor of the ease and accessibility offered online. As the DIY traveler was introduced to sites offering wholesale deals on incredible locales, the idea of a travel advisor going extinct became common knowledge and at the time this made sense, why would anyone use an advisor when they could do it themselves? The answer to this question is simple: the same reason people don’t cut their own hair, do their own taxes, or repair their own cars – some things are just better left to the professionals! Ironically enough, the complexity of online options only spurred the resurgence of travel advisors. When the digital landscape became overwhelming, travelers sought the guidance of experts who could navigate the labyrinth of choices.

Even the recent COVID-19 pandemic, which initially seemed like a death knell for the travel industry, resulted in an astonishing comeback. In just two short years, the industry rebounded far more rapidly than anticipated, with unprecedented demand and limited availability at top destinations.

The Role of AI and Travel Advisors: A Harmonious Partnership

The Value of a Travel Advisor” offers a compelling real-life scenario that underscores the crucial role we play in enhancing travel experiences. By recounting a client’s 40th birthday celebration in Las Vegas, we walk you through the meticulous planning, expert advice, and behind-the-scenes efforts that go into each trip. This story serves as a potent reminder that travel advisors are not just about amenities and perks; we act as advocates, ensuring that travelers enjoy the best possible experience everywhere they go.

AI can handle routine tasks such as customer service chatbots, data processing, and face recognition technology at security checkpoints. Leave travel advisors to focus on what they do best: cultivating relationships, providing personalized recommendations, and ensuring a seamless travel experience. Plus, our affiliation with Brownell and Virtuoso opens the door to a range of value-added benefits for your hotel stays. From complimentary breakfast to early check-in/late check-out options, upgrades, and resort, spa, or food & beverage credits, our goal is to ensure you receive the best value and VIP status through our trusted relationships with hotels.

As our client, you can trust in our strong relationships with preferred vendors, knowing that our reputation is at work behind the scenes to guarantee you the trip of a lifetime, every time. Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities, and we rely on our partners to execute your stay flawlessly.

AI undoubtedly enhances the travel experience. It streamlines processes, offers valuable insights, and provides high-level recommendations by collecting data from the internet. However, the level of personalized care and attention to detail is something that AI cannot replicate, as it’s rooted in human connection and the ability to understand and cater to your unique preferences and needs.

Aloha to All Ages: Hawaii

Four Seasons Maui at Wailea

Often our highest-selling hotel in the world, Four Seasons Maui has a strong following of loyal fans, and our clients often return year after year, especially those with younger kids.

If you’re traveling with children, the complimentary Kids For All Seasons program is a game-changer, offering a wealth of complimentary activities for the younger ones. For tweens and teens aged 9 to 17, professional counselors skillfully engage and entertain young “campers” at Camp Manitou.

For the adults, the options are equally enticing, with a world-class golf course, opportunities for sailing, surfing, fishing, tennis courts, rejuvenating spa treatments, private helicopter tours, and more. You can also unwind at the secluded adults-only Serenity Pool, which offers elevated panoramic views of Lanai and the West Maui Mountains from its infinity edge. The generously spacious rooms provide ample comfort and are ideal for family bonding. For the ultimate Pacific Ocean views, we highly recommend the Deluxe Ocean-View rooms, which sleeps 4.

Sailing Through Generations in the Caribbean

Dorado Beach, A Ritz Carlton Reserve

Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve offers a diverse range of activities that ensures that every family member, regardless of age, finds something to engage and delight them. Created to carry on his family’s tradition of ocean conservation and education, Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment Program inspires guests to connect with the world around them in hopes that they will work towards preserving it for future generations. Younger kids aged 4 to 8 participate in fun and educational games, hands-on activities, and experiments that impart knowledge about Puerto Rico’s history, native culture, and environment. Older children aged 9 to 16 are treated to custom experiences like creating snacks from the chef’s garden, stargazing to observe constellations in the night sky, and learning about nocturnal creatures. Families with older children, aged 9 and above, have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the environment through activities like snorkeling among vibrant coral reefs, exploring underwater photography, and embarking on forest hikes.

Dorado Beach also launched a Summer Camp for kids in 2020 where each attendee will get a full itinerary of fun along with a private counselor to explore the resort’s 1,400 acres and beachfront access. The program can range from four days to four weeks.

For the adults, the resort boasts two golf courses, a family-friendly waterpark, tennis courts, and two expansive swimming pools, ensuring that families of all ages can revel in cherished moments and create lasting memories together.

Families seeking the perfect home away from home can choose from the 29 Reserve Residences, providing direct beach access and proximity to the resort’s guest facilities. These spacious residences boast full kitchens, living areas, and up to 5 bedrooms, making them ideal for families looking for comfort and convenience. Four Seasons Nevis

The Four Seasons Nevis is the perfect beachfront oasis for a luxury getaway. Last June, Four Seasons invited Ourisman Travel, a top 30 Preferred Partner agency, to experience this peaceful hideaway firsthand.

For large families or groups, the resort has over 50 residences, villas, and estate homes. The Sunset Hill Villas are ideally situated higher on Nevis Peak, offering breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea and the island of St Kitts. For guests who prefer to be close to the beach and enjoy modern decor, Pinney’s Beach Villas will be the perfect fit. The resort also offers complimentary meals for children five years old and under at all restaurants.

There is no shortage of activities while in Nevis. Guests of Four Seasons Nevis can enjoy non-motorized watersports, catamaran cruises, local history tours, mini golf or eco-bio golf, watch and interact with sea turtles, a private beach and pool cabanas, and complimentary monkey-spotting tours for all animal lovers. And of course, the Kids for All Seasons (KFAS) is complimentary and a must with younger kids ages 3 to 9. Drop the kids off for supervised activities that range from learning about local animals to books, games, painting, and scavenger hunts while you enjoy a little well-earned time for yourself.

Pro Tip: To get the most out of the island, we recommend a 5-6 night stay. This will be enough to enjoy the dormant volcano views, great food, a dreamy town, and a five-star guest experience at the Four Seasons resort. Use our complimentary booking tool to learn more and book now.
