What Sets Explora Apart From Other Luxury Cruise Lines?
Chris Austin, Explora’s Chief Sales Officer shared some insights with Travel Weekly on consumer research and found that “there was a very common theme amongst the consumers we interviewed which was not to design yet another classic, traditional luxury cruise ship. They asked for space, choice, privacy, relaxed comfort and elegance”. And Explora listened. Explora was designed by some of the world’s foremost superyacht and luxury hospitality maritime architects and designers. “The ships will deliver one of the highest host-to-guest and guest-to-space ratios in the luxury category, the largest lead-in suites, the largest terraces, residences offering up to 3,014 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, a variety of indoor and outdoor lounges and redefined entertainment”.
EXPLORA I Sets Sail July 2023
EXPLORA I, the first of four luxury best-in-class ships in the Explora Journeys fleet, offers generous outdoor decks – with more than 2,500 sqm (26,909 sq ft) of spectacular sea views – combined with numerous indoor and outdoor pools and whirlpools on the ship’s promenade deck for an experience inspired by seas and oceans. The superyacht sets sail in July with a Mediterranean visit to Spain, France, Italy and Greece.

An All-Inclusive Experience
Prices vary depending on the itinerary, but Explora I’s 16-day maiden voyage starts at $18,500 for an Ocean Terrace Suite, based on double occupancy. The fare includes food, beverages such as wine and specialty coffees, gratuities, and Wi-Fi, according to the line’s website.
Everything is all-inclusive except for spa treatments, one concept restaurant (which will have local authentic Michelin-starred chefs from destinations along the journey for an experience meal with wine pairing – a revolving experience) and onshore experiences.
