Bulgari London: A Sleek Retreat in the Center of London

When it comes to opulent experiences and refined sophistication, the Bulgari Hotel London stands in a league of its own. From luxury fashion to luxury travel, Bulgari brings its iconic edgy, sleek aesthetic from its fashion designs to Bulgari Hotel London‘s interior design, including trademarked details throughout the property. Nestled in the heart of London and conveniently located around the corner from Harrod’s, the hotel is a lavish, lustrous option for your next stay in the posh neighborhood of Knightsbridge.

Our Founder, David Ourisman, visited the hotel just before its opening in 2012 and was able to provide an exclusive look at what was to come. He describes the hotel as “unique in its incredible attention to detail and the lavishness of the hotel’s design, yet the intention is to price lead-in rooms competitively with other luxury hotels in London. This property may not be for everyone, but the Bulgari is definitely an option to consider if you enjoy experiencing iconoclastic hotel products”. Let’s take a look into what makes the Bulgari Hotel one of the top luxury hotels in London.

Elegant and Spacious Accommodations

The hotel boasts 85 rooms and suites and is among the largest in the city. The rooms start at 467 square feet for the lead-in Superior rooms. Deluxe rooms begin at 479 square feet, while the executive category offers the most space starting at 490 square feet. The rooms are designed with a minimalist approach, creating an elegant atmosphere with a classic contemporary style featuring soothing colors of browns, beiges, silver, and white. Despite the hotel’s busy location, the windows are designed to effectively soundproof the rooms from outside noise.

The bathrooms boast an elegant finish of black marble adorned with white veins and are all meticulously crafted from a single block of exquisite Manquina marble imported from Spain. Each bathroom is equipped with both soaking tubs and refreshing rain showers, although certain design choices might raise an eyebrow. In specific room categories, the bathroom doors are made with silver mesh screens encased in glass- undoubtedly attractive but lacking in their ability to block out light. Consequently, an early morning shower for one unavoidably disrupts a slumbering companion.

An Underground Oasis

Perhaps the hotel’s most talked about space is its impressive 24,000-square-foot spa and wellness sanctuary, even taking the title of “Best Spa in London” in 2021 by the Good SPA GUIDE 2021 AWARDS. Located across two of the five underground floors at the hotel, the spa offers everything from an 82-foot swimming pool to 11 private treatment rooms. The pool is fully heated and stays open daily until 9 pm. Or, book the double spa suite, replete with its own steam room, Jacuzzi & private treatment room for an ultraluxe wellness experience. Allow the Bulgari spa to weave its magic, nurturing your body and uplifting your spirit. Let the underground spa become your sanctuary during your stay and rise to the surface (literally) feeling refreshed and ready to embrace London with a renewed sense of vitality.

Unparalleled Attention to Detail

During his visit, David pointed out all the impeccable details that went into designing this hotel. Luggage racks are custom made from black leather with Bulgari branding. Minibars are set within a Bulgari steamer trunk with a rosewood interior. The casing of the flat screen TVs are custom designed, as were the exercise machines in the gym. The half Olympic sized pool has a mosaic of gold and emerald colored mosaic tiles with pool cabanas for guests (although the room is too warm and humid to want to sit by an indoor pool). The vitality pool (very large jacuzzi) is lined with silver mosaic tiles. The hotel has a 47 seat theatre with the largest and highest resolution (4K) screen of any hotel cinema in the UK, and there is a library of 500 movies that guests can access from their in-room television system.

Situated in one of the most coveted locations in London, the Bulgari Hotel offers unparalleled convenience and access to the city’s vibrant attractions. Whether you take a stroll through Hyde Park, explore historical landmarks like Buckingham or Kensington Palace, or go shopping on Oxford Street, an abundance of activities are within easy reach from the hotel’s prime address.

The Best Way to Book Your Stay at Bulgari London

Although Bulgari is connected to Marriott because of it’s joint venture with Ritz-Carlton, Bulgari’s hotel collection does not participate in Marriott Bonvoy. This means that you can’t earn Bonvoy points, redeem Bonvoy points, and you don’t receive any sort of recognition at the hotel if you have Bonvoy status.

However, Bulgari does participate in Marriott STARS, which means that booking your stay through us will give you access to exclusive perks, listed below. Most importantly, it’s better to book through a Marriott STARS advisor versus programs like Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts because upgrades are prioritized for Marriott STARS guests, as it is Marriott’s own proprietary program.

If you want to take advantage of the Marriott STARS program to receive extra perks at BULGARI, book your stay with Ourisman Travel for:

  • Priority for a complimentary room upgrade on arrival (STA)
  • Complimentary daily English breakfast for two guests
  • 100 USD Food & Beverage credit
  • Complimentary customized welcome amenity, activity or service
  • Early check-in / late check-out (STA)
  • VIP status granted with an in-person warm welcome
  • First priority for requested room category, bed type, rollaways, and connecting rooms
  • Complimentary WiFi daily

In the grand tapestry of travel experiences, the Bulgari Hotel London shines a beacon of chic luxury, offering an escape from the ordinary and an invitation to embrace the extraordinary. From the moment you arrive, you are enveloped in a sense of elegance and sophistication that lingers long after you depart.
