Nestled amid the sun-kissed Peloponnese peninsula, a stone’s throw away from the vibrant Porto Heli, lies a sanctuary that epitomizes luxury and tranquility. Amanzoe has recently become a favorite of many of our clients and it’s easy to understand why. Amanzoe is a modern-day Acropolis from which 360-degree views encompass olive groves and the Aegean Sea. Cabanas, Pavilions, and Villas all offer private pools with stunning views and fragrant gardens, whilst speedboats await at the beach to zip between nearby islands. The gods on Mount Olympus might well trade their celestial digs for a stay at Amanzoe. Since opening in 2012, it has set itself apart from other resorts in Greece by providing top-tier service and beautiful surroundings.
Arrival Experience
Amanzoe sits close to numerous historical sites and the happening island of Spetses. You can reach it with a 2.5-hour drive from Athens International Airport or hop on a quick 25-minute helicopter ride. This quick ride provides beautiful aerial views of Athens, including a close-up view of the Acropolis. Helicopter transfers cost around EUR 2,800 each way. Kindly note that as per Greek law regulations, helicopters are permitted to fly only from sunrise to sunset. Alternatively, it’s a 2.45-hour drive from Kalamanta International Airport.
The priciest, yet most unique option to get to Amanzoe from Athens is via a private yacht charter on Aquazoe. Holding up to 8 guests, this exclusive yacht departs Athens at 11 am and gives clients the opportunity to include lunch at Poros Island and a stop for swimming at Dokos Island. Kindly note that the boat must be moored to Porto Heli port before sunset time, as per Greek Law. Pricing starts at EUR 6,000 in total.

Ultra-Luxe Accommodations
Aman is known for its ultra-luxe spacious accommodations and Amanzoe is no exception. Each room comes with a large outdoor area complete with a plunge pool, and his & her bathrooms with large bathtubs and showers. The architecture is simple, drawing from ancient Greece’s use of columns to provide a classic authentic feel. The interplay of white and tan stones amid olive groves sets a breathtaking backdrop for the resort’s natural beauty.
There are only 38 suites and a few larger Aman villas on the property, which helps ensure that privacy and service are unwavering. The room layouts include freestanding pavilions on various levels to maximize privacy. Drawing on classic Greek architecture with strong lines and a pared-back aesthetic, the luxury Pavilions all open onto terraces with private plunge pools and views of the surrounding land and sea of the Peloponnese. Each Pavilion is accessed via a stone-walled courtyard, leading to a high-ceilinged living area and king-size bed positioned in a marble alcove, and are all just a short drive away from the beach.
Amanzoe’s luxury Villas are lofty spacious abodes – Mediterranean homes surrounded by extensive gardens overlooking the Aegean Sea. Each of the one-to-nine-bedroom private Villas features a large private swimming pool, an open terrace, and outdoor space with sand-colored marble floors, traditional dry stone-clad walls, and elegant columns and cornices. All villas share a consistent aesthetic but have unique layouts. A discreet team of staff serves each property, alongside a dedicated private chef and Villa host.
For a more unique experience, we love the one-bedroom Cabanas at Amanzoe. Situated directly on the beach, the spacious air-conditioned Beach Cabanas provide all the comforts of a pavilion, combined with an expansive terrace, swimming pool, and direct access to the sea just 30 meters away. Guests can enjoy a day on the beach, swimming in the sea, discovering bays by canoe, and sunbathing with the gentle ocean breeze. A stone-walled courtyard and garden provide privacy and shade, while inside, a king-sized bed and spacious bathroom form an intimate retreat. This accommodation type is best for couples who love direct beach access.

Activities
Guests can take advantage of the private beach club, the acclaimed Aman Spa, and a choice of restaurants; activities include sailing, waterskiing, mountain biking, and nature trekking.
The onsite restaurant is Nama, Aman’s signature Japanese restaurant worldwide. Nama is blessed with almost 360-degree views of the Aegean Sea from its hilltop setting. Open for dinner, with exceptional sushi and sashimi at the heart of its menu, Nama also offers a range of premium sake and Amanzoe’s extensive wine selection. We recommend securing a reservation as soon as possible. Restaurants are open to Aman guests and non-residents (subject to availability).
Amanzoe is home to the best spa in Greece. Its design is incredibly relaxing and perfect for luxuriating. It offers a variety of treatments with Watsu being one of their signatures. The spa also offers custom facials and an array of other signature Aman treatments.
Although the hotel does not offer immediate beach access, the Beach Club is only 10 minutes away by car and the resort provides complimentary transportation to and from. Plus, biking there is like something out of a travel magazine.
Our clients with younger kids love Amanzoe, with activities to suit all ages. Babysitters are available for younger children upon request, and a regular calendar of organized activities is offered for older children ranging from arts and crafts and storytelling to games, sports, and beekeeping. There is a beautiful kids-only pool tucked away from the main pool, which allows kids to play without interrupting other guests.
Like all Aman resorts, Amanzoe has a beautiful library open to all guests. Guests can take books as they please and read them in the comfort of their own room while lounging by the pool, or at the library, where tea and snacks are always available.
